Natalie Elysee Leonard

Registered Psychologist
Clinical Registrar (Psychology),
AHPRA

Natalie has completed Master of Psychology (Clinical), graduating with Distinction and High Distinction grades, and is now a registered psychologist with AHPRA.

She has a passion for supporting clients’ learning and wellbeing and has worked as a school counsellor and provisional psychologist in the past 5 years. Prior to this, she worked as a speech pathologist for more than 20 years, specialising in the language and literacy needs of children and adolescents. Natalie has worked across a wide range of contexts, including schools, preschools, community health, and not-for-profit settings. She also has experience supporting a range of learning and mental health needs, including ASD, ADHD, specific learning difficulties, emotion regulation, school refusal, anxiety, and depression.

While much of her experience has been with children and adolescents aged 3 to 18 years, her placement at the UNE Psychology Clinic provided valuable opportunity to work with adults aged 18 to 71 years, delivering both manualised and individualised intervention. She thoroughly enjoyed working with this wider age range, and it has broadened both her clinical skills and her interest in working across the lifespan.
