Rosemary Mifsud

Dietitian

Rosemary is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and mum of three. She obtained her qualifications as a dietitian at the University of Sydney and has practised in both the public and private health sector since 2008. Having practised in four Sydney and a rural hospital as well as numerous medical centres and aged care facilities over her career, Rosemary has experience in medical nutrition therapy in a range of medical conditions in individuals across all ages and from all walks of life.

Rosemary’s experience in a gestational diabetes clinic for a Western Sydney hospital followed by having gestational diabetes in both her singleton and twin pregnancies ignited her interest in maternal and children’s health. Two of her three children had feeding difficulties during early childhood – one due to colic and the other with fussy eating due to sensory issues associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Rosemary has learnt to listen to other health professionals, educate herself and follow her motherly instinct when it comes to nutritional challenges with her own children. Rosemary’s role as a dietitian in a children’s practice is to translate evidence-based medical nutrition into everyday practical strategies to help your child meet their nutritional needs for optimal growth and development.
