We are proud of the high quality level of care that the GP’s at The Children’s Doctor provide to our patients and the community. Our doctors and nurses provide a wide range of quality health care services and treatment, and help coordinate teams that are all looking after your wellbeing. We can provide this for you either within the practice, or we can liaise with allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, dieticians, or psychologists.

Dr Sharada Devadas - MBBS FRACGP Dip Child Health
Owner / Principal Doctor
Dr Sharada is a general practitioner with over 12 years clinical experience in all aspects of general practice. She completed her FRACGP in 2005 and more recently her Diploma in Child Health.
Sharada has extensive GP experience having worked in General Practice since completing her fellowship. She has a special interest in paediatrics, women’s health and preventative medicine. She also participates in The Shared Care/Antenatal Program with Westmead and Blacktown hospitals.
Sharada has a broad hospital experience gained whilst working at Sydney Adventist Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Westmead Hospitals. Sharada has been with The Children’s Doctor since July 2011.
Dr Barbara Adams - MBBS FRACGP Dip Child Health
Dr Barbara is a general practitioner with a special interest in the health and wellbeing of women and children. With over 25 years of clinical experience, Dr Barbara has been well-established in the Hills District
Dr Mahima Adhikary - MBBS DCH FRACGP
Dr Mahima has been working as a GP since 2013, initially working in Melbourne and then in Greater Geelong before moving to NSW. Prior to being a GP she worked in a regional hospital in Victoria and worked in multiple specialties.
Dr Mahima has a keen interest in paediatrics which lead to her completing a Diploma in Child Health. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice, Women and Children’s Health, Mental Health, Dermatology, Chronic Disease Management.
Outside of work, Dr Mahima loves to travel and enjoys a good book with a good cup of tea.
Dr Annemarie Christie - BSc (Med) MBBS Dip Child Health
Dr Annemarie is a general practitioner with a special interest in the health and wellbeing of children. She founded The Children’s Doctor in 2005 after completing her training at The Children’s Hospital in Westmead.
Annemarie has a special interest in sleep matters, child behaviour, skin related issues and complex chronic conditions.
Annemarie has extensive experience in paediatric medicine and continues to participate in and facilitate education programs. Annemarie has 4 children of her own, which helps her understand the problems parents face when seeking advice regarding the health and wellbeing of their children.
Dr Emily Yuen - MBBS
Dr Emily is a general practitioner with over 25 years clinical experience, who enjoys a variety of medicine including paediatrics, adolescent and family care.
She also currently works in the very busy Emergency Department of Blacktown hospital.
Emily has 3 grown up children of her own and 2 lovely grandchildren, and has been with The Children’s Doctor since the practice opened in 2005.
Dr Anthony Liu - MBBS(Syd), MPH, M.Med.Ed, DCH, FRACP
Dr Liu trained in General Paediatrics at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead obtaining his specialty qualifications at the end of 2003. Dr Liu has also completed post graduate studies in Public Health and Medical Education. In 2005 he was appointed Staff Specialist Paediatrician at Nepean Hospital and went on to be employed as Lecturer in Paediatrics by the University of Sydney in 2006. In 2011 he was promoted to Senior Lecturer in Paediatrics where to this day, continues in teaching and research at the University of Sydney Nepean Clinical School. Dr Liu was also Department Head of Paediatrics at Nepean Hospital from 2006.
His other appointments include visiting consultant paediatrician at Allowah Presbyterian Children’s Hospital and also at the Mother and Baby Unit at the St John of God Hospital, Burwood.
Dr Liu has over 50 publications to his name with research interests in looking at the effects of illicit drug use in pregnancy on the newborn infant and more recently on the developmental origins of health and disease. Dr Liu has wide experience in all areas of general paediatrics.
Dr Sowmya Gandham - BA MBBS (Hons) MPH (Hons) DCH FRACP
Dr Sowmya Gandham is a General Paediatrician who graduated from the University of Sydney and completed her specialist training in paediatrics at The Children’s Hospital Westmead. She is a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with over 10 years of paediatric experience.
Dr Gandham is interested in all aspects of general paediatrics, looking after children from newborns to adolescents.
In addition to working at The Children’s Doctor, Dr Gandham is a Staff Specialist Paediatrician at Nepean Hospital and Blue Mountains Hospital.
She has also completed a Master’s in Public Health and has an interest in teaching and research.
Dr Katrina Zaballa – MBBS (Hons), DCH, FRACP
Dr Zaballa has had extensive experience in paediatric medicine, managing children of all ages from neonates to adolescents. She has a special interest in paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, having completed 2 years of training in sleep and respiratory medicine at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Through her training she has experience in flexible bronchoscopies, interpretation of pulmonary function tests and sleep studies, and the management of children with complex asthma, chronic respiratory conditions and children requiring non-invasive and invasive respiratory support.
